The revolutionary Eliotex fibre that is integrated into the Plouf floating swimsuit allows for exceptional floating properties as well as aiding children to learn how to swim.
Its incredible buoyancy is due to the fact that Eliotex contains 97% of air in its particles (250 g of woven Eliotex can float a body mass of 130 kg). To obtain perfect buoyancy, several layers of Eliotex have been superimposed within the suit in function with the weight of the children who would be using the suit. Eliotex is also heat-resistant: no deformation is observed up to 95° Celsius.
Even if the suit is torn or punctured, tests prove that its buoyancy is by no means affected. Children can become autonomous and free in the water seeing as there are no accessories to obstruct their movements. Moreover, the suit is very comfortable and can offer some protection from the cold of the water.
